Hello Everyone, I am Nick, and today I will show you how to fix the issue, Cinema HD not working on FireStick, Fire TV, Fire Cube, Android TV, Android Box, Smartphones, Nvidia Shield, Google TV, and more.

Cinema HD APK is a streaming app for video-on-demand content, including movies and shows. It has almost completely replaced apps like Titanium TV.

It is also a Jailbreak App for FireStick. While this app works fine for the most part it does run into some issues from time to time.

These errors may include buffering, no connection error, non-availability of videos, crashing issues, Server problems, no subtitles, and more.

These errors are not isolated to just Cinema APK; they are common with other TV and movie apps as well.

Detailed Solutions for Cinema HD APK Not Working

Now let’s look at how you can fix these errors in detail.

Solution 1: Update Cinema HD APK to the Latest Version (2.4.0)

If Cinema is not working, the first thing you want to do is check if you have the latest version.

If you don’t have the newest version, I highly recommend you update Cinema HD app.

As I write this, the latest version is 2.4.0 (if you already have the latest version, you may skip to the next solution).

If a new update is available, you should see a prompt on the screen asking you to update the app to the new version.

Make sure to first enable unknown sources for the app from device settings (for instance, on FireStick, go to Settings > My Fire TV > Developer Options)

Check the app version from within the Cinema app

1. To check which version you have, open the Cinema and click the 3-line menu icon in the top-left corner

2. You will see the version number on the top

Check the app version from FireStick Settings

1. Go to FireStick Settings (gear icon)

2. Click Applications

3. Click Manage Installed Applications

4. Select Cinema. The version number is displayed on the right

Solution 2: Check your Wi-fi Signal or Internet Connection Speed

You will experience issues with the app if there is a problem with the Internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data).

Sometimes, when you exceed your daily high-speed data limit, the speed deteriorates drastically.

Make sure you are connected to a good Wi-Fi connection and other devices aren’t hogging your bandwidth.

Here is the recommended speed by Netflix:

You don’t really need a very high-speed Internet connection.

However, I would recommend a Wi-Fi speed of at least 50Mbps as multiple devices might be using the Internet at the same time.

Check the Internet connection or Wi-Fi speed with the Internet Speed Test app or any other speed test app of your choice.

Solution 3: Use a VPN Service If Cinema HD is Not Working

Is your ISP (Internet Service provider) blocking the streams?

Solution 5: Force Stop to Fix Cinema Not Working issue

You may want to try to force stop the the app when it is not working.

Force-stopping is known to have worked for some users.

Here are the steps:

1. Go to FireStick Settings from the home screen

2. Click Applications

3. Click Manage Installed Applications

4. Scroll down and click Cinema HD V2

5. Click Force Stop

Solution 6: Clear Cache of Cinema HD App

If you face buffering errors or your videos stops playing suddenly, it is likely due to cache or temporary storage in your device.

Clearing the cache is a great way to fix any buffering issues when your Cinema HD is not working. It also clears up unnecessarily occupied storage space.

Here’s how you clear cache:

1. Navigate to Settings from the FireStick home screen

2. Click Applications

3. Click Manage Installed Applications

4. Click on Cinema HD app

5. And then click on Clear Cache

Please note that clearing cache will not remove app data such as bookmarks, watch-list, downloads, etc.

Solution 7: Clear Data of Cinema HD APK

Sometimes, clearing data of the apps makes them work properly.

Please remember that when you clear the data, you remove all your settings and saved history. It is almost like taking the app back to fresh installation state.

I am also including the steps to backup and restore your data.

Follow these steps:

1. Open Cinema HD app and click the menu button in the top-left corner

2. Click app Settings on the dropdown menu

3. Scroll down and click Backup and Restore

4. Click Backup to take the backup

5. Press the Home button on the FireStick remote and select Settings

6. Open Applications

7. Click Manage Installed Applications

8. Click Cinema HD V2

9. Click Clear Data

10. Click Clear Data again to clear app data

11. Open cinema hd app again and go back to Settings > Backup and Restore

Click Restore

Solution 8: Uninstall & Reinstall Cinema HD App

Cinema not working still? Sometimes uninstalling and reinstalling the Cinema HD app does the trick.

Note: You will lose data, including history and favorites. I have provided the steps to backup and restore data in the previous section.

First, we are going to uninstall the existing app. There are two ways to do that.

Uninstall Cinema APK (Method 1)

Here are the steps:

1. On the home screen of your FireStick, click the Apps icon (3 squares and a + sign)

2. Select the Cinema HD app and press the Home button on your Fire TV Stick remote

Click Uninstall on the prompt displayed on the right

3. Click Uninstall again

4. Click OK to confirm

Uninstall Cinema HD App (Method 2)

Here is another way to uninstall Cinema HD APK or any other app on your Fire TV and Fire TV Stick:

1. Choose Settings (gear icon) on the FireStick home screen

2. Click Applications

3. Click Manage Installed Apps

4. You will see the list of all the apps installed on your device

Select Cinema HD V2

5. Click Uninstall on the following screen

6. When this prompt is displayed, click Uninstall again

7. Wait for the app to uninstall

Re-install the App

Once the app is uninstalled, you can install it back easily.

I am providing the quick steps to install Cinema HD app here:

1. Go to Find > Search and install the Downloader app

2. Open Downloader and click the URL field

3. Enter the Downloader Code 89840 or the URL toptvtricks.com/chd

4. Wait for the APK to download

When prompted, click INSTALL to install Cinema HD APK on FireStick

Solution 9: Disable the Show Debrid Only within Cinema HD App

There is an option within Cinema APK called Show Debrid Only.

When this option is enabled, the app only displays premium links or streams from Real Debrid or other premium hosters, such as AllDebrid, Premiumize, etc.

You won’t see any links if you are not using Real Debrid (or any other such premium hoster) if the Show Debrid Only option is enabled.

This option is disabled by default. However, you may have accidentally turned it on.

So, here are the steps to turn it back off:

1. Open the app and click the 3-line menu button in the top-left corner

2. Click Settings

3. Click Accounts

4. Scroll down to the bottom

If Show Debrid Only is enabled or ON, turn it off

Solution 10: Enable Providers if Cinema APK App is Not Working

Apps like Cinema HD APK use multiple free providers to get you the streaming links.

Make sure that all the providers are enabled (especially if you don’t use Real Debrid).

All the providers are enabled by default. However, sometimes we end up disabling them by mistake.

Follow these steps to check and enable providers to fix some Cinema HD errors:

1. Click the menu button in the top-left corner of the app

2. Click Settings

3. Click Performance

4. Click Choose providers to enable

5. A popup displays the list of all the free providers

Scroll down and enable/check any provider that may have been disabled

Solution 11: Disable Auto-Play Option

This may not necessarily be the reason why Cinema APK is not working for you.

However, just in case it is, here is what you can do:

1. Click the 3-line menu on the Cinema HD home screen (top-left corner)

2. Click Settings

3. Click Auto Play feature

4. If any of the following options are enabled, turn them off:

– Autoplay next episode (TV/Show)
– Auto next with first subtitle in list

Solution 12: Turn Off the AdBlocker

While the ad-blockers are a great way to disable ads on your device, they sometimes tend to interfere with the normal functioning of the streaming app like Cinema APK.

If you are using an ad-blocker (such as Blokada) and you keep getting the “No data error”, I would suggest you turn it off.

Disabling the ad-blocker will likely fix the issue and enhance your experience.

Solution 13: Cinema HD Playing Wrong Movies or Episodes

Recently, I have noticed that sometimes the links on Cinema HD app play the wrong movie or episode.

As you would know, Cinema APK does not host any content.  It sources the links or streams from third parties.

It has zero control over what content plays through a link. It depends on the providers.

The only option left is to select a different link.

Thankfully, there is a way to find out if the link will play the right movie or episode before you click it.

Follow these steps:

1. Click the Search option near the top-right corner

2. Type the name of the movie or show you want to watch

I am going to look for the public domain movie Angel and the Badman.

3. Click the movie or show when it appears in the search results

4. The links are now displayed

Long press a link (for about 2-3 seconds).

For instance, on FireStick or Android TV Box, press and hold down the select or center button. On Android phone and other touch devices, just touch and hold.

5. A popup is displayed with the file name

If the file name matches the movie or show you want to watch, it is highly likely that the link will play the right content

Solution 14: Cinema HD No Streams or Links

If Cinema HD app is not getting you any streams or links, it could be because of one or more of the reasons listed in this guide.

As suggested earlier, when the free providers are not supplying any links, the best course of action is to get Real Debrid.

Real Debrid is a premium hoster and it is much likely to get you working streams than the free ones.

However, even if Real Debrid can’t get you any streams, it is possible that the movie or episode you want to watch does not have any links at all.

You may want to try the same movie or episode in some other app (I have talked about best Cinema HD alternatives – with links – later in this post).

Solution 15: Cinema HD Playback Failed

If you run into the playback failed error, it means the link you chose is corrupt.

The app will automatically switch to another link. It will keep looking until it finds a working link.

However, if the app does not find any working link, it means there aren’t available at the moment.

Unfortunately, neither we nor the app developers can control that since the links are sourced from third-party providers.

It would be a good idea to get Real Debrid for more working links.

Solution 16: Cinema APK Download error or problem parsing the package

If you keep running into the error “problem parsing the package”, it is highly likely you are installing an incompatible version of the app.

This error is also displayed when you already have a newer version of the app and you try to install an outdated version.

Solution 17: Clear Real Debrid Download/Watch History

This may not be the most useful solution. But it has worked for some users.

Sometimes, build-up of Real Debrid history may cause issues while playing content on the app.

Note: If you don’t have or use Real Debrid, this solution is not applicable to you.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to real-debrid.com using a browser on your PC or mobile

2. Log in to your Real Debrid account by clicking the Login button on the home page

3. Click My Account under your username once you are logged in

4. On the next page, scroll down to the section Account History

Click Downloads History

5. Click the X sign on the top (next to where it says Generated the) to clear the entire history

Solution 18: Wait it Out and Use other Alternative Apps Meanwhile

If none of the solutions work or you get the gray screen errors, black screen error (or server has died error), there is possibly a problem with the app itself or there is a server error.

When there’s heavy traffic on the server and the server has low bandwidth, it may cause Cinema to crash. Until the issue isn’t fixed, you could wait it out and try other working alternatives.

Here, you can change the default player as well as change some other settings, such as “Choose default opening screen, default play action,” and more.
