You can watch your favorite content as long as there is a streaming link. However, when Kodi cannot get any streaming link from any provider, you get the Kodi no stream available error.

The solutions in this guide are the result of extensive trial and error. I experimented with different approaches and discovered effective ways to resolve the Kodi No Stream Available issue.

Let’s explore some of the solutions to fix the issue. 

1. Use a VPN to bypass ISP restrictions on streaming links

Your ISP can monitor all your online activities and actively block specific types of traffic to and from your device.

For instance, ISP Grande, a Texas-based internet service provider, was fined $43 million for failing to terminate accounts involved in piracy. This case highlights the level of access ISPs have to your online behavior, including streaming on Kodi.

Kodi often relies on unverified streaming links from third-party providers. ISPs commonly identify and block streams from many of these providers, which can lead to the “No Stream Available” error on Kodi.

4. Select Asgard Debrid from the left menu. On the right side, make sure the Asgard Enable debrid service is turned on. 

5. Make sure Real-Debrid is selected in the Asgard Choose debris service menu.

For this demonstration, I’m using the Magic Dragon addon. While the steps may vary slightly for other addons, the process is generally similar. Here’s how to check:

1. Open the addon and select Tools or Settings.

2. Select Sources on the left side and Enable all on the right.

Note: In some addons, you might see Providers instead of Sources. Select the Providers option on the left and click Open Scraper Settings.

3. Select the General button on the left and click Enable All Providers.

5) Uninstall & Reinstall the Kodi addon

If none of the previous methods resolve the issue, you might consider uninstalling and reinstalling the addon. Starting fresh can often fix the “No Stream Available” error.

For this demonstration, I’ll use The Crew addon. However, the steps to uninstall are the same for any addon.

Uninstall the addon

Here’s how to uninstall any addon on Kodi:

1. Open Kodi and navigate to Settings (the cog icon) on the home screen.

2. Select Add-ons.

3. In the Add-ons menu, select My add-ons.

4. Next, select Video Add-ons.

5. Select The Crew or the addon you want to uninstall.

6. Click the Uninstall button located at the bottom-right corner.

7. Confirm your action by selecting Yes.

8. When prompted with a confirmation dialog box, click Yes again.

Wait a moment for the addon to be completely uninstalled.

Reinstalling the addon

After uninstalling the addon, you can reinstall it.

6) Try a Faster & Stable Internet Connection

A slow internet connection often causes Kodi’s “No Stream Available” error and can reduce video quality. For a smooth streaming experience:

• Use a strong Wi-Fi network.
• Ensure your internet speed is at least 10 Mbps; 50 Mbps is ideal.
• Test your speed with tools like the Internet Speed Test App or visit Speedtest.net.

If your connection slows down temporarily:

• Restart your router or modem:
  1. Unplug the device from the power outlet.
  2. Wait 10-15 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in and allow it to restart.
• Contact your ISP(Internet Service Provider) if the issue persists.

7) Try Playing the Lower Resolution Links

11) Have Multiple Kodi Add-ons Installed

Install multiple addons for on-demand, live TV, or sports content. If one addon fails, others can serve as backups.

If you watch on-demand content, have at least two on-demand Kodi addons. The same goes for live TV content, Sports content, etc.

12) Update the Outdated Add-on

Here’s how to update them (using The Crew as an example, it can be done for any addon):

1. Go to Kodi Home Screen > Settings (Gear Icon)

2. Select Add-ons.

3. Then, click My add-ons.

4. Select Video add-ons.

5. Select the Crew addon or the addon you wish to uninstall.

6. Ensure Auto-update is enabled to allow the addon to update itself automatically as the new version is available. You can also update the addon manually. Select Versions to install the latest version.

If there is an update available, your Kodi addon will get updated. This should solve your Kodi error.

13) Clear Cache and Providers Fix the Kodi No Stream Available Error

A buildup of cached data can cause the “No Stream Available” error on Kodi. Clearing the cache and providers within an addon can help resolve this issue. Below are the steps to do so. (For this demonstration, I’m using The Crew addon. The steps might vary slightly for other addons.)

1. Open the addon by navigating to Kodi Home Screen > Add-ons > Video Add-ons.

Select the Tools or Settings option (depending on the addon).

2. Click Clear Cache.

3. If you see a popup on screen, click Yes.

4. Select Clear Providers…

5. Select Yes.

14) Increase the Provider Timeout Limit

Kodi addons have a preset duration for searching streaming links. If no links are found within this time, the addon times out and stops searching.

By increasing the timeout limit, you give the addon more time to scrape the internet for streams, improving the chances of finding a working link.

For this demonstration, I’ll use The Crew addon. The names of tools or settings may vary slightly in other addons.

1. Open Settings or Tools.

2. Click Playback on the left and Providers Timeout on the right.

Note: This may appear differently for other addons.

3. It can be increased to up to 60 seconds.

By increasing the provider’s timeout option, you are likely to find more links to stream movies and shows.

15) Uninstall and Reinstall Kodi to Fix the No Stream Available Issue
